Position: Disability Support Worker
Location: Cairns, Queensland
About the Role: As a Disability Support Worker at Forerunners Care, you will:
– Provide support to individuals living with disabilities, fostering their independence and well-being.
– Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility support, and community engagement.
– Maintain accurate records and documentation of support provided.
– Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to clients.
– Encourage and support clients in achieving their personal goals and aspirations.
– Promote social inclusion and community participation.
– Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
– Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field.
– Previous experience in disability support work is highly desirable, but not required
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Current First Aid and CPR certification.
– Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
